Salary: $10.10 – $12.37 Hourly. Commensurate with experience.
Duties and Responsibilities
Performs construction and maintenance work in one or more specialized programs in a large public works department. Duties include reconstruction/rehabilitation, surface maintenance, secondary drainage, right-of-way maintenance and/or customer services programs. Performs general road maintenance labor and operates light duty vehicles. Performs general traffic control. Performs preventative maintenance and repairs on vehicles and equipment. Cuts, mows and trims grass and removes brush along roadside.
Minimum Requirements
One (1) year of road construction and maintenance experience;

Any combination of education and experience that has been achieved and is equivalent to the stated education and experience and required knowledge, skills, and abilities sufficient to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of this job.
Licenses, Registrations, Certifications, or Special Requirements: *Valid Texas Driver’s License. *Valid Texas Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
Preferred: *Texas Pesticide and Herbicide Applicator’s License. *Inmate Supervision within Basic Corrections Officer Training Certification.
A-D: Full-time, Seasonal, Temporary positions with projected end date of September 30, 2010
Hours: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Work site: Multiple work sites, *4501 FM 620 North, West Service Center *6011 Blue Bluff Road, East Service Center
CDL REQUIRED (Proof of CDL or CDL permit must be presented at interview)
