full time Juvenile Case Work Manager

Salary: $3686.71 – $4608.40 Monthly. Commensurate with experience.

Duties and Responsibilities

Coordinates 2 psychosocial groups including registering participants, serving as the contact person for the probation officers, and recording participant’s completion of the program. Supervises several Department staff, including clinical review of their work and performance evaluations. Conducts assessments of mental health and substance abuse among juveniles detained and in the community. Provides diagnostic impressions and treatment recommendations for juveniles and their families. Consults with probation officers. Maintains and analyzes data regarding Assessment Center activities and programs. Conducts trainings for staff. Assists with scheduling and coordinating assessments.

Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in one of the Social or Behavioral Sciences, Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Counseling, Education, Criminal Justice or a directly related field AND four (4) years of increasingly responsible experience in social services, community corrections, or juvenile agency, including at least one (1) year in lead, supervisory or management experience;
OR,
Any combination of education and experience that has been achieved and is equivalent to the stated education and experience and required knowledge, skills, and abilities sufficient to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of this job.

Licenses, Registrations, Certifications, or Special Requirements: *Valid Texas Driver’s License. *Must be at least 21 years of age. *Certification as a Juvenile Probation Officer and Detention Officer or eligible for certification within six (6) months of date of hire, including successful completion of Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)First Aid and Handle with Care (state approved physical restraint technique).

Preferred: *LPC-Supervisor *Licensed Social Worker (LSW); OR, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC); OR, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. *Master’s degree in one of the Social or Behavioral Sciences, Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Counseling, Education,Criminal Justice or a directly related field.

Hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Work site: 2515 South Congress Avenue
