Salary: $5173.86 – $6726.03 Monthly. Commensurate with experience.

Duties and Responsibilities
Under the general supervision of the Director of Facilities Management Department, directs the day-to-day administrative and operational aspects of the Travis County Exposition Center, including events planning and management, facility sales and contract management, marketing programs, operation and custodial services, security/parking services, financial management and staffing. Directs and develops marketing strategies to maximize usage of the facilities. Develops short and long term programs and objectives. Develops and finalizes the marketing and business plan within four months of hire. Assists in planning, preparing and administering the annual budget. Forecasts projected revenues from events. Represents the facility in public relations activities and establishes and maintains good working relationships with staff, clients, participating vendors, advertising agencies, media and the general public.

Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Public Relations or a directly related field AND six (6) years experience in convention industry facility management, sales and marketing, including three (3) years mid- to senior level supervisory or management experience;

Any combination of education and experience that has been achieved and is equivalent to the stated education and experience and required knowledge, skills, and abilities sufficient to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of this job.

Licenses, Registrations, Certifications, or Special Requirements:
Valid Texas Driver’s License.

Preferred: *Strong negotiation skills. *Five (5) years Public Sector related experience. *Strong people skills as demonstrated in previous position(s)

Hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and works some holidays, nights and weekends.

Work site: 7331 Decker Lane, Exposition Center
