Family Worker Coordinator
at Norris Square Civic Association in Pennsylvania
Position Title: Family and Community Coordinator Department: Education
Reports to: Center Director Status: Full-time
Main Responsibilities:
The Family and Community Coordinator is responsible for providing leadership and coordination that results in (a)direct information and referral services to families seeking linkages to key health, nutritional, and other family support services. (b) delivery of quality services delivery to children enrolled at the Children Center (c) compliance with ERSEA (Eligibility, Recruitment, Selection, Enrollment and Attendance) at the Norris Square Civic Association’s Children center.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Establish an effective, consistent supervisory system that provides support for family worker.
a. Have regular contact family worker staff members and meet (min of once per week).
2. Ensure program’s compliance with federally mandated Performance Standards in the areas of Family/Community Services.
3. Ensure program’s compliance with federally mandated Performance Standards in the areas of Family and Community Partnerships, and ERSEA (Eligibility, Recruitment, Selection, Enrollment and Attendance) and supervising of all family workers.
a. Schedule recruitment activities
b. Monitor Average daily attendance
c. Track and randomly review children & families files on a biweekly basis that include individualized family goal setting, documentation, and timeliness interactions with parents/clients. Provide feedback and training when needed.
d. Identify community resources that are responsive to each family’s interest and goals within a timely matter.
e. Track and maintain a cumulative waiting list sorted by month.
4. Report monthly of the activities, monitoring outcomes
5. Identify and recruit community partners in planning and program evaluations.
6. Family/Community Coordinator must provide training & technical assistance to staff and families.
7. Other duties as assigned by the Center Director
Qualifications
• A minimum Bachelors degree in Education or Social Work and 3 years related experience.
• Must be able to fluently speak, write, and read Spanish and English.
• 2 years or more experience in social service delivery or supervision.
• Ability to work flexible hours (evenings).
• Clearance of criminal, drug and child abuse is needed.
• Ability to communicate and function with various parents, professionals, and community groups.
Physical Demands:
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
• Ability to climb steps.
• Ability to perform home visits.
Salary Range: $23,000-$33,000 -based on education and experience
