Project Engineer: Design Irvine, CA
Position Summary: Design, develop, troubleshoot, and sustain electronic products for flight control systems and missiles. The primary responsibilities will be design flight control electronics product such as Gate Drive circuits, motor drives, power supplies and digital circuits. Direct experience with firmware design and EMI preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Design products per requirements, create the schematics using Viewlogic, generate test procedures, conduct testing and troubleshoot the hardware
- Create planning, requirements and design documents
- Design Firmware per requirements
- Prepare the material and make presentations for internal and customer design reviews and technical meetings and support SOI audits by preparing presentation materials and SDRL items.
- Some travel may be required
Requirements:
1. Bachelors degree (BS) in electrical, or a related technical discipline. MS degree is preferred.
2. Eight or more years of related experience.
3. Experienced in Digital Electronics design for products in Aerospace Industry
4. Experienced in Firmware, VHDL, and DO-254 based new product development life cycle preferred
5. Experienced in analog design and high power electronics
6. Knowledge of Electro-Mechanical Actuation, Motor drive design preferred
7. Flight Controls related product and architecture design experience preferred
