Network Engineer
Employ network engineering techniques and provide network integration support on multiple networks. Design, implement and maintain LAN and WAN networks of various classifications. Responsibilities include the deployment and configuration of Cisco routers, switches, and Juniper Firewalls. Design and conduct testing to resolve interoperability problems to enable or maintain operations across all platforms. Monitor the performance and stability of the networks and configure systems to unique user environments. Develop documentation, whitepapers, and presentations as required to inform and educate leadership and users in support of government clients. Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint. Candidates who possess familiarity with Voice Over IP, WAN routing protocols and bulk encryption devices are desired. General systems background along with knowledge of SolarWinds Engineering Toolkit, and SolarWinds Orion Network Management suite are a plus.
– TS/SCI clearance
– 5+ years of experience in network operations environment
– At least one year experience in networking design and
implementation
– Ability to execute basic router and switch configuration commands
– BS degree in Computer Information Systems or other related
experience
– Shift Work Required
– Experience with Microsoft Windows Server Operating system
– VOIP and Tanberg experience
– Network Management tools
– Experience with service-level agreement development,
measurement, and reporting
– CISCO, Juniper experience
– Joint Operations, Military Experience, and Joint Training are a plus
– System Administration experience
– Active Directory knowledge and MCSE certification preferred
