Position Summary: The Director of Operations will be expected to actively participate in strategic planning, continual improvement of profitability, and coordination with senior management. As the Director of Operations, you are a leader of the business and you are expected to contribute to both the growth and profits of our company.

Responsibilities and Key essential functions:

Will be responsible for the overall cost, productivity, and customer satisfaction of products produced and delivered to our customers.

Manage all site operational activities to ensure all functions are driving toward common goals as set forth in strategic and operating plans.

Provide the senior management team with accurate and timely reports on monthly and quarterly basis, including financial performance.

Will be responsible for responsible for manufacturing, production control, procurement, materials, logistics, manufacturing engineering, facilities, product quality, scrap & rework controls, environmental issues, and health & safety.

Will have an understanding of business financial information; especially cost accounting.

Will establish annual goals & targets for productivity improvements, cost reductions, Capex, quality, customer satisfaction and employee relations.

Assist in establishing achievable goals for all operations employees by using elements such as people involvement, continuous improvement, standardization, a quality operating system and flow of the product or service.

Will be responsible for overseeing and guiding the overall work duties and professional development of the individual department managers and supervisors.

Create and maintain a culture of accountability and ensure adequate training of all site employees.

An individual who views challenges as opportunities for improvement.

An individual who is both “hands-on” and has the ability to quickly develop and implement “best practice’ policies and procedures.

Have experience in an electronics assembly processes.

Requirements:

BS degree in a technical discipline (MS preferred) Ten plus years of experience.

Supervising and managing senior level management and/or site management experience in an electronics work environment.

Be familiar with Lean Manufacturing principles and how they are applied to building highly engineered custom electronic products or systems.
