Principal Electric Engineer

Key role objective
Work on a team of Electrical Engineers to perform analysis and design of electrical systems for port terminals and other maritime facilities.
Key areas of responsibility
• Electrical power design and analysis
• System concept and criteria development
• Complete design and specification of medium voltage primary and standby power systems, lighting, fire alarm and special electrical systems
• Code research and interpretation
• Field investigations
• Project design and construction phase meetings
• Report and specification writing
• Construction administrative services (RFIs, submittal reviews, inspections)
• Team organization/supervision
• Coordination with other disciplines and CAD functions
Key requirements
• Knowledge of NEC and other applicable codes
• Work well on a team
• Good verbal and communication skills
• P E License a plus
• Petrochemical a plus
Minimum qualifications
Essential:
• BSEE
• Minimum 10 years experience
Desirable:
• Engineering experience in design and specification of industrial systems in marine/petrochemical environments
• Instrumentation system experience
• PE License
