Salary: $11.57 – $14.18 Hourly. Commensurate with experience.

Essential Functions

Performs maintenance, repairs, and grounds keeping duties of facilities, grounds, structures, pumps, equipment and habitat on County BCP land. Inspects areas and equipment to ensure that they are operational and rectifies or refers problems to supervisor. Assists with installation of boundary signs and boundary fencing including overseeing and directing the work of contractors. Trims vegetation along preserve roads and trails, restoring eroded areas. Restores native plant communities in disturbed areas. Assists with management of white-tailed deer, feral hogs, brown-headed cowbirds, and red imported fire ants. Trains and supervises volunteers to accomplish some of these tasks.

Required Qualifications
Education and experience equivalent to High School diploma or G.E.D AND two (2) years of building and grounds maintenance or related experience.

License: *Possession of valid Texas Driver’s License *Possession of valid Commercial Drivers’ License (CDL) *Possession of Texas Pesticide and Herbicide Applicator’s

Preferred: *Lead or supervisory experience *Knowledge of tools and equipment *Knowledge of Central Texas flora and fauna

Hours: *Full time, schedule varies to include some nights and weekends. *Position will require working weekends frequently
