Salary: $3445.69 – $4307.13 Monthly. Commensurate with experience.

Essential Functions

Assists in the Planning, Development and Implementation of Department’s work safety program. Responds to incidents and investigations. Prepares statistical reports and trend analysis. Coordinates fire drills. Inspects facilities, vehicles and equipment. Assesses, maintenance and acquisition of personal protective equipment (PPE). Develops and presents safety training. Conducts maintenance of the hazard communication and fire extinguisher program. Coordinates safety recognition program and assists with the School Crossing Guard program.

Required Qualifications
Education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Environmental Sciences, Chemistry or a directly related field AND one (1) year of directly related experience.

License / Certifications: *Possession of a valid Texas Driver’s License may be required. *Certified Safety Professional *Associate in Risk Management may be preferred.

Preferred: *Bilingual in English/Spanish *Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. *Written and oral communication skills *Proficient with large group training

Hours: *7:00 AM to 4:00 PM and works some holidays, nights and weekends. *Hours and work site may vary
