Salary: $17.36 – $21.70 Hourly. Commensurate with experience.

Duties and Responsibilities
Inspects construction activities to assess compliance and effectiveness of Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWP3s), erosion, sediment controls, and storm water drainage Best Management Practices (BMPs). Inspections and GPS mapping of County drainage structures. Communicates and coordinates effectively with County staff, other Agencies, design engineers, contractors, and the public. Assistance with other Storm Water Management Program (SWMP) duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements
Associate’s degree in a related Engineering discipline AND two (2) years related increasingly responsible inspection work experience;
OR,
Any combination of education and experience that has been achieved and is equivalent to the stated education and experience and required knowledge, skills, and abilities sufficient to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of this job.

License: *Possession of a valid Texas Driver’s License.

Preferred: *Any combination of experience, education and training equivalent to three (3) years or more in inspection or design of Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWP3s), erosion/sediment controls, storm water Best Management Practices (BMPs), and drainage construction. *Bachelor’s degree or course work in civil engineering, natural or environmental sciences/studies, or a related field. *Knowledge and skill in assesment and communication of storm waer pollution prevention best management practices, erosion and sediment control, drainage engineering and construction. *Knowledge of local soils, vegetation, environment, and regulations. *Professional storm water certification, such as CESSWI, CIESC or CPESC.

Hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and works some holidays

Work site: 411 West 13th Street
