EPIC Systems Analyst Needed

RELOCATION ASSISTANCE AVAILABLE
The Analyst provides system consulting, system analysis, mentoring, and technical leadership to the support and/or system configuration team in the assigned business area. Will assist in design, configuration, support and maintenance of vendor-supplied software and integrated computer data systems, and is accountable for the success of software related projects. Core responsibility includes the integration of software across multiple businesses and support systems.
This position is responsible for complex system solutions across multiple departments and serves in key technical roles throughout the vendor-supplied software lifecycle. Coordinates with vendor resources and management to design system architecture to meet long-term business and technical needs. Analyzes business requirements and develops design specifications and test plans to meet business requirements. Configures software to meet design specifications and develops implementation plans for vendor provided software. Provides ongoing support and maintenance for production systems.
Acts as liaison with operations community to ensure continuing responsiveness of applicable system software user requirements. Identifies, evaluates, tailors, and directs the implementation of vendor-supplied software packages. Ensures the maintenance of adequate software systems documentation. Provides technical assistance and training to users of systems, with little or no instruction or mentoring. Able to come on campus during off-shift hours and provide after hours call support required.
NOTE: This position does perform some systems analysis functions.
Education:Requires a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in computer sciences. An equivalent 1:1 education/information systems experience, including formal job training in software configuration, may be substituted for each year of college not completed. Some examples of vendor-supplied software include EPIC, PeopleSoft, Seibel, and SAP. This equivalency is in addition to what is required in the Experience section.
Licensures/Certifications:EPIC certification in one or more EPIC applications preferred.
Experience and Skills: The senior Enterprise Applications Systems Analyst must possess the following general I.T. experience elements unless noted otherwise:· A minimum of 5 years experience in a system analyst role or equivalent. Of the total 5 years, 3 years was in solving production problems in a time-constrained environment.· Prior job experience configuring vendor-supplied software such as EPIC, PeopleSoft, Seibel, or SAP.· Prior job experience working with large data sets and database applications such as SQL or Oracle.· Competent in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Visio). Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel preferred.· Knowledge of all phases of the software development or lifecycle for both custom and vendor-supplied software. · Strong written and verbal communications skills.· Ability to assess release scope and business requirements deliverables to identify system impacts and estimate level of effort.· Ability to translate business requirements into technical design and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.· Ability to identify system constraints or gaps in business requirements and effectively communicate issues/risks to the project manager in a timely manner.· Ability to work collaboratively with vendors and colleagues to analyze problems and propose recommended solutions that meet both business and technical needs.· Ability to comply with, and contribute to, system configuration standards and guidelines.· Ability to gather, standardize and enter or import all necessary clinical/business data into the system.· Ability to configure and unit test the system as specified in the business and technical requirements to meet configuration exit criteria according to schedule.· Ability to comply with, and contribute to, system change control standards and guidelines.· Ability to document and execute an integrated test plan and a user acceptance test plan.· Ability to maintain status of tasks, defects, issues, and support requests on a daily basis in each respective tool.
